Overview
We are seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth across the sales team by fostering a thriving environment that positively impacts new and existing customers. This role will be responsible for sales growth and the success and trajectory of the sales team. They will accomplish this by analyzing the market, understanding the sales team, and planning for expansion with current and potential customers. This will be measured by defining metrics for the sales team to strive towards and increased customer satisfaction and sales growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
Relationship Building
- Creating long-term partnerships with the portfolio of assigned customers and engaging them with excitement about Silver Creek Leather’s products and services.
- Taking a consultative approach to understanding the customer's needs and developing a roadmap to meet those needs.
- Serving as a point of escalation for customer challenges..
Sales Strategy
- Meeting annual quota and customer satisfaction metrics by expanding our retail footprint via identifying added value opportunities for our customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align with sales strategies.
- Conducting discovery appointments with sales representatives for both sales and training purposes.
- Continually growing a knowledge base about trends in the leather and crafting industries.
Leadership
- Coaching and motivating sales staff to achieve peak sales performance by showcasing a strong desire to lead and motivate others.
- Support the recruitment, training and development of sales representatives.
- Participate in and lead systematic coaching of the sales team for both increased sales and market knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years management and sales experience consumer goods in the business to business (B2B) space.
- Ability to research potential new business and define solutions to address their pain points or improve efficiencies/margins.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision makers at all levels.
- Strong business acumen with a problem-solving mentality.
- Experience managing Profit and Loss and other financially driven metrics.
