Overview

Louisville Thoroughbred Society is seeking an energetic, attentive Cocktail Server dedicated to providing our Members with a high-quality, personalized dining and beverage experience. The Cocktail Server’s responsibilities include engaging with Members, taking accurate food and beverage orders, making informed recommendations, delivering items promptly, and ensuring every guest has an exceptional time. This position requires excellent multi-tasking skills, a professional demeanor, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet Members warmly, present menus, and take accurate food and drink orders.
  • Provide informed recommendations on cocktails, wine, beer, and menu items.
  • Deliver beverages and food in a timely manner, ensuring quality presentation.
  • Handle multiple tables and tasks efficiently while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking service stations and preparing the club for service.
  • Process payments accurately and promptly.
  • Build rapport with regular Members to create a welcoming, familiar atmosphere.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service areas, and dining spaces.
  • Stand, walk, and carry trays of food and drinks for extended periods.
  • Collaborate with bartenders to ensure drink orders are executed accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • A friendly, attentive attitude.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays.
  • Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
